Mr Odinga who was touring the county barely a month after President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the region, accused the government of looting public resources through mega scandals.

He said the country was likely to experience economic crises should the Jubilee government cling to power and urged residents to vote it out in 2017.

“This government is full of experienced thieves. Every department is out to loot public resources yet they go around chest thumping that our economy is doing well. We cannot allow thieves to lead the nation,” he said.

“Our economy is dwindling and you saw how our external debt is rising substantially. As Kenyans, prepare for worse economic times if we continue supporting a failed regime. Ensure you have your voting card to chase these people out of government in 2017,” he added.

Odinga also questioned the government’s proceeds from Eurobond and also demanded to know why prosecution of NYS persons of interest has been delayed.

“We haven’t been told what they did with the Eurobond proceeds and also, my patience is running out because no major prosecution has been done regarding the NYS scandal. Our country is losing millions out of unscrupulous deals. We cannot withstand another five years of corrupt individuals,” he added.
