Uasin Gishu Council of Imams and Preachers (CIPK) Chairman Abubakar Bini has warned Nasa leader Raila Odinga against cheating his supporters that he will be sworn as president.

He said this is uncalled for and might trigger violence.

"How can you be sworn in as the President of the Republic of Kenya yet you withdrew from the presidential race?" he posed.

"One can only be president through the ballot and not any other way. As religious leaders, we won't allow what transpired in 2007 to reoccur," he said in Eldoret town, Monday.

He called upon Kenyans from all divides to live in peace and unity.

"Let us not allow some few self-centered individuals to divide us for their own selfish reasons. Your neighbor will remain your neighbor, let's maintain peace as we await the official announcement of the presidential results," noted Bini.

He, however, warned police against using excessive force while dealing with NASA demonstrators terming it as primitive and out order.

"Let them handle them in a human way since they have a right to demonstrate peacefully as enshrined in the constitution," he said.
