Mr Amos Olempaka ditched ODM during an event that was attended by Ruto, Olempaka said his move was buoyed by the fact that it is only Jubilee that can transform the lives of Kenyans.

The oldest party in Kenya, Kanu was also a casualty of the Sunday defections after their key leader in Baringo Mr Charles Kamuren also stated that he was joining DP Ruto's camp.

"It is impressive that the Deputy President has been more than committed to peaceful coexistence among all communities living along the Kerio Valley," he added.

DP Ruto assured the defectors that Jubilee will work with them to ensure they serve their people and Kenyans better.

"I want to assure you as the deputy leader of the Jubilee Party that we have no preferred candidate for the seat, it is the voters who will decide," said Ruto, he was speaking about the Baringo South upcoming by-elections after the death of former area MP Grace Kipchoim.
