ODM leader Raila Odinga has also joined the family of Nyamira governor John Nyagarama following the loss of their son Ndemo Nyagarama.
The 44-year-old soft spoken man was the driving force behind his father's back to back victory in gubernatorial elections.
Through ODM party Director of Communications, Raila said the party will stand with the second term governor during this trying moment.
"We have received with profound shock the passing of Ndemo Nyagarama, son to H.E John Nyagarama, governor Nyamira County.
"As ODM family, we condole with the family of the governor and pray them for God's peace this agonising moment," read the statement.
A similar message was passed by party's legal adviser Tony Moturi who was even specific on Raila's shock following the death.
"The ODM family sends condolences to the family of governor John Nyagarama. Our party leader is shocked following the untimely death and he has promised full support."
Ndemo passed on in Nairobi Hospital on Monday evening following a long battle with acute meningitis according to a family source.
