NASA leaders led by their Principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula have sent their condolence to the people of Nyeri and the family of Wahome Gakuru following a grisly road accident along Thika-Muranga road near Kabati area on Tuesday morning.
The NASA leaders expressed the desire for the nation to be on ceasefire during this period of mourning.
They described Dr. Gakuru as a visionary and hardworking leader and appealed for sobriety in his honour as they addressed the press at Nairobi.
Several leaders have sent their condolences to the family of Gov. Gakuru. Deputy President William Ruto spoke to the nation at Lee Funeral Home and mourned a great man.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko also mourned a man he personally knew.
There were also condolences from COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli who mourned a man who was part of crafting the vision 2030 for the country.
