Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga has dismissed members who left the alliance's member parties, to vie as Independent candidates.

Many left ODM, and Wiper (Ford Kenya, ANC and CCM parties are also Nasa partners), after the lost in party primaries. They however vowed to support Raila, for presidency.

However according to Raila, the 'Independents' are 'opportunists'.

He said, they should not be voted for, since they declined to concede defeat, and support the winning team.

Speaking at the burial of Mama Gladys Onono, mother to former Ombudsman and ODM candidate for Rarieda Constituency, Otiende Amolo, Raila asked Nasa supporters to vote out any independent candidate.

"I don't see how we will work with people who are not in Nasa. They are not our members. They will add no numbers whether in parliament or to the alliance. They should be voted out,'' Raila said, Sunday.

Also present at the ceremony was Raila's fellow Pentagon member Musalia Mudavadi, who echoed his sentiments.

"We also shelved our presidential ambitions to support Raila. Why can't you support those that won? Let's agree on one thing please,'' said the ANC party leader, and Nasa co-principal.
