Opposition chief Raila Odinga has dispelled rumours that there will be a fall out between NASA principals before the August 8 general election.Instead, Raila said they will remain steadfast in the coalition as they seek to send the Jubilee administration home in the forthcoming general election."There are many rumours that NASA will disintegrate, but take it from me that it will never happen. None among the four of us is leaving. Leaving to go where?" said Raila, as quoted by the Nation. The ODM leader made the remarks during a consultative meeting with all party aspirants in the Coast region in Mombasa on Saturday. He noted that the coalition's presidential candidate will be unveiled to the public soon. The former Prime Minister was also quick to clarify that his tour of the region was purely at a party level."There was a lot of confusion that we were coming for NASA, but we came only for ODM. We came to meet you the aspirants and to talk to you," he said.He insisted that party nominations will be free, fair and transparent, and assured the members that there will be no direct tickets for any candidate including himself."As the party leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, I have not received the party nomination ticket to contest the Presidency," he noted. He said the NASA administration will address the myriad of challenges facing Kenyans, and accused the Jubilee administration of 'peddling falsehoods' about it's development score card.
