Sang said despite being accused of working for the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) in 2007, Raila did not play a role in helping him out of the hook.

Speaking during an interview at Milele FM on Friday, Sang said Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta stood by his side in material and emotional support.

"The first time I was to appear before the court, I had no money to go to Netherlands and pay lawyers. I held a fundraiser where Uhuru and Ruto gave their contributions. Uhuru was not president then," said Sang.

He said he will never forget the experience, saying he is ready to work with President Uhuru and DP Ruto.

Sang was among the six suspects who were charged at the ICC after the 2007 post-election violence which claimed 1300 lives, with over 600, 000 people displaced.

He and Ruto were the last to be acquitted by the court, after President Kenyatta, former police boss Hussein Ali, former Tinderet MP Henry Kosgei and former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura.

When asked if he could work with Raila during the interview, Sang who has since expressed interest in elective politics said he will use Jubilee Alliance Party in his political quest, adding that ODM and its leadership did nothing to save him from the ICC hook.

"My brother Uhuru and Ruto stood with me every step I went through during the six-year agony at the Hague. Can you neglect such friendship and join a camp which laughed off your tribulations," said Sang.
