Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba has been slammed for reportedly dragging Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s names into his woes in the party
On Tuesday, Namwamba sensationally claimed that ODM failed to mentor him properly while in the ODM party and that he never wanted him to serve as Secretary General.
On Thursday however, Nyamira County Assembly Majority Leader Laban Masira came into the defense of Odinga, saying that Namwamba was his own enemy while in the ODM party.
“I don’t think it will be fair for Namwamba to blame Odinga for his woes. He was given responsibility as the party secretary and blew his chance,” he said.
“The ODM party even entrusted him to serve in the Public Accounts Committee and whatever he did is just history. I believe that he was just his own enemy and should not blame anyone,” he added.
Namwamba ditched the ODM party last year, citing frustrations from top leadership as the major reason that informed his decision.
