NASA leader Raila Odinga has dared Interior CS Fred Mating'i to follow the law if he has evidence against Judiciatry bias.
This after the CS claimed that the judiciary was colluding with the opposition to frustrate government projects.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Raila said that it was wrong for Matiang'i to attack one arm of the government.
"If Dr. Matiang’i has evidence against the judges he is attacking, the responsible thing to do is to register his complaint and present his evidence to the Judicial Service Commission," said Raila.
"The JSC has the constitutional mandate to pursue issues of unethical behavior of judges.Dr. Matiangi equally has room to challenge the decisions of any court in a superior court through established channels of appeal. If the CS feels that his predecessors in office did not carry out their work in a way that is satisfactory, he is the Cabinet Secretary now. He should correct what he believes is a mistake and change the processes of the Ministry so that those mistakes do not compromise the State. "
The opposition leader further cautioned that parliament shall not be used as an avenue of attacking one arm of government.
"Parliament should not allow itself to be a platform for State officers to make attacks on other arms of government. If Dr. Matiang’i has evidence against the judges he is attacking, the responsible thing to do is to register his complaint and present his evidence to the Judicial Service Commission," Raila added.
Matiang'i made the remarks while appearing before the parliamentary security community to explain the conntroversial deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna.
