Ahead of the Supreme Court ruling Raila Odinga has asked citizens to practice peace during and after the Supreme Court ruling.

On Thursday, the National Super Alliance leader shared this message through Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong'o.

This follows a series of disputes between Raila, Uhuru and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission over the recently conducted General Elections.

Demonstrations followed and tension could be seen all across the country.

However, the NASA leader has made plans to hold a prayer meeting ahead of the ruling and has called on his supporters pray as well.

"Whatever happens today, we are winners. Go to church and temples to give thanks to God. A soldier lives to fight another battle. Therefore, today the world is not coming to an end," Odinga said.

Kisumu Governor Nyong'o also pleaded with law enforcement to stop assaulting supporters of the opposing coalition.

He also invited residents to a prayer meeting at the ACK St Stephens Cathedral Church with plans to issue out t-shirts labeled "Luo Lives Matter".

"Luo lives matter and, therefore, they should be protected much like other citizens. We have discussed the concept of security to ensure lives and property are protected. We don't want more deaths linked to brutality ," Nyong'o said.
