Opposition alliance NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has urged Kenyans to uphold peace and unity before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Sunday at St. Stephens Church in Kisumu, the former Prime Minister further challenged Kenyans not to vote on ethnic lines, but to vote in leaders who represents the goals and aspirations of Kenyans.
“We are condemned to live in this geographical space called Kenya. This is where God put us and we must be prepared to live and to co-exist with people,” he noted.
“Don’t vote for Raila because he is a fellow Luo, don’t vote for Uhuru because he is a fellow Kikuyu. Vote for Raila or Uhuru because of what they represent. Differentiate between right and wrong, separate grains from chaff. This is what Kenyans must do,” he added.
He further lashed out at the Jubilee adminstration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to bring down the high cost of living.
