Opposition leader Raila Odinga has defended Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho's KCSE grade of D- (minus).
Speaking on Thursday in Kisii during the first health investment conference in the county, the former Prime Minister noted that failing in examinations does not spell doom, adding that it does not mark the end of the road.
" Kuvunjika kwa mwiko sio mwisho wa upishi (A broken cooking stick does not force one to stop preparing a meal)," the Star quoted him.
"Joho is clean and has done nothing wrong. If Jubilee dares, wataona cha mtema kumi (they will be in trouble)," he added.
Governor Joho has been accused of forging his academic papers that allegedly granted him admission to the University of Nairobi.
He has since dismissed those allegations, maintaining his innocence in the matter, saying he was proud of the grade he attained after his form four education.
"Why would I want to forge my own certificate... I am a holder of a D- but I have changed that to progress," Joho said during a press briefing earlier in the week.
