Raila Odinga Junior has taken a swipe at the Supreme Court following its decision to uphold President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory.
On Monday, the apex court declared Uhuru's victory 'constitutional and valid' having dismissed two petitions challenging October elections.
"The two petitions lack merit and are hereby dismissed. Both parties shall bear their costs," said David Maraga, in a rather unanimous ruling.
But on his Twitter handle, Junior, a son to Raila Odinga wrote: "One step forward, two steps backwards' apparently in reference to two successive petitions in under three months.
Also, lawyer Nelson Havi, a close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga said: "As expected, after being fixed, Supreme Court has made two steps backwards."
Contrary to previous petition, the opposition team did not challenge Uhuru's election having boycotted the elections.
