Education Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i has revealed that a school named after Cord leader Raila Odinga is not registered.
According to Matiang'i, the Raila Odinga secondary school has not submitted a request to be registered before the ministry of education.
While appearing before the parliamentary Committee on education, Mataing'i stated that despite having candidates in this year's KCSE the Homa Bay based institution is yet to contact the County Education Director.
“We will register schools that have already submitted applications but new ones will have to wait as we look at the policy again,” said Matiang'i.
The CS was responding to a question from Homa Bay town MP Peter Kaluma why the institution had not been registered.
