ODM leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that some 2017 aspirants seeking to vie for various seats on the party's ticket have been issued with nomination certificates.
Raila assured the ODM supporters that all candidates intending to vie for any political position on the ODM ticket must go through the nomination process adding that there are no shortcuts.
"No matter what position you hold in the party including me, you must go through the nomination process. No-one should go around boasting that they already have tickets. The party has not issued anyone with a ticket whatsoever," said Raila.
He spoke during a Nyamira youth summit dubbed #kikao046 on Friday last week.
The former prime minister asked supporters to have confidence in the party stating it will not impose candidates on them.
"Trust me we won't present to you any candidate from the party. We want our supporters to choose leaders because we want a government of the people, free of corruption, free of arrogance and development oriented," said Raila.
