National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has opened up about his relationship with two individuals, who in the near future, could determine how the former Prime Minister's political career takes shape.

The two top ranking officials are; government's chief legal adviser- Attorney General Githu Muigai and his boss President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

In an interview with a local daily, Raila revealed that AG Muigai is his nearest neighbour at his Karen residence, adding that he was a landlord to the former university don.

The former Prime Minister, however, did not hesitate to tell off Muigai for threatening him to stop his planned 'swearing-in' on December 12.

"The statement by my neighbour and former tenant was unfortunate and irresponsible," he said.

On Wednesday, the AG said the State would invoke the Penal Code and have Raila charged with treason, which carries a death sentence penalty, if he takes oath on Tuesday.

"He (Muigai) misses the point completely. He should know I have been charged with treason before, spent six months in Kamiti and the State entered a nolle prosequi because they couldn't prove the charges. He should not touch that button," Raila said, as quoted by Sunday Standard.

On his biggest political nemesis, President Kenyatta, the opposition leader described their relationship as 'very close'.

"We have had a warm relationship for many years now, he is very close to me and my family," Raila said.

However, he denounced Kenyatta's presidency saying it is illegitimate.

"Uhuru does not have the support of two thirds of the country and doesn't have legitimacy to govern Kenya," the ODM leader said.
