Former member of parliament, Kalembe Ndile has said he quit Cord because they owed him money which they have not paid to date.
Kalembe, who is currently the leader of The Independent party (Tip), said he is owed by Cord saying that they were handed funds from the Political Parties Fund but they have not given his party a cent for the last three years.
" Cord owes the party. We are listed as a coalition partner and in 2013., we campaigned for them but they have ignored us," he said.
He says that he has quit the Cord for the ruling Jubilee wing because he was lied to by Cord leader, Raila Odinga.
" Cord is full of lies and that is why everyone is leaving for Jubilee. I will contest in 2017 on a Jubilee Party ticket," he said.
Kalembe was among leaders of 12 parties that have agreed to fold up and join the Jubilee Party come to the 2017 elections.
