The ODM party leader Raila Odinga has asked people living with disabilities to vie for the party's presidential nominations ahead of the 2017 elections.
Speaking at Orange House in Nairobi on Tuesday during a convention with people living with disabilities, Raila further called on the delegates to avail themselves for every position being offered by ODM in the 2017 elections.
According to Raila, people with disabilities had been neglected for long in the country, and ODM was set out to improving that once Cord ascends to power.
"You are welcomed to vie for all available positions in ODM. There are positions in the MCA, Senator, woman rep, Governor and presidential positions. This will go a long way in showing that you people are capable of leading the country. The Jubilee administration has neglected you for too long and we should vote them out of power and let Cord administration take care of your welfare," Raila told the delegates.
ODM's acting secretary general Agnes Zani also called on the delegates to ensure they register as voters and help Cord send Jubilee home.
She also called on the delegates to hold more conventions and campaign for ODM and Cord for 2017 victory to be realised.
"You people should campaign for ODM and Cord since the administration of the coalition will cater for your welfare. You should also register as voters as it is the only way through voting that Jubilee can be sent home," said Zani.
