Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga on Monday expressed his optimism that the party will secure MCA seats that will be contested on Wednesday and insisted that it will be the beginning of tough times for Jubilee.
Four ward seats will be contested on Wednesday in Tana River, Kisii, Turkana and Kajiado counties where the Orange party has fielded candidates.
The ODM leader who visited Nyacheki ward where the ODM party is facing stiff competition from the ruling Jubilee Party said the party will sweep all the seats as an early preparation for 2017.
“I chose to come here because I have seen our desperate brothers from Jubilee coming to hoodwink our people. The other three wards we are sure of victory. And I came to ensure we win the Nyacheki seat as an early preparation for 2017,” he said.
“Jubilee should be ready for a tough contest because as ODM, we have organised ourselves. We will not leave any stone unturned and they should be ready for a defeat not only on Wednesday but also in 2017 elections,” he added.
Raila was accompanied by high profile leaders among them ODM National Treasurer Timothy Bosire, Governors James Ongwae(Kisii), John Nyagarama(Nyamira) , Gladys Wanga( Women Rep Homabay) and several MCAs.
