The ODM nominations have attracted many and the party leader Raila Odinga has urged members to elect loyal candidates that will push the party agenda.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya after handing over direct nomination to deputy leader Hassan Joho among others, Odinga said that unity will ensure that Jubilee is out of power on August 8t.
“It is my expectation that our people will read the signs right and elect leaders who believe in our agenda for the country and who have the courage to stand by that agenda through thick and thin,” Raila said.
The opposition chief also said Jubilee is waiting for a fallout in NASA so that they win with ease something that Odinga pleaded with his supporters to avoid at all costs.
"It is putting all its hopes for re-election on only two things; a fallout in NASA, which will not happen and rigging the elections in August which we will not allow," he said.
He said that nominees have a task of spreading the opposition gospel. They have to make sure that the electorate get NASA message clearly.
“Those of you who have been awarded their certificates today and those to be awarded in the weeks ahead will be tasked with getting out our message across and making people vote for that message,” Odinga concluded.
