The former prime minister, who was cleared by the IEBC, was presented with the traditional instruments of leadership, which are said to have been inherited from the legendary Laibon Koitalel Samoei. The team also crowned the cord leaders in a colorful ceremony in Kapsabet showground on Sunday. The opposition leaders was asked to sit on a four legged stool which had been sprinkled with milk and oil.
The team was led by Christopher Meli and Christopher Koiyoki and Christopher Meli who represented the Nandi clans.
“We have waited for this day for a long time…Some people did not want us to give you our blessings, but we have finally succeeded,” said Koiyoki, as quoted by Star.
