Cord leader, Raila Odinga has demanded the release of Cord leaders detained over hate speech.
The Cord MPs in custody are, Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua and her Mombasa counterpart, Aisha Jumwa who were arrested on Tuesday with charges of hate speech.
Raila has threatened that if the leaders are not released within the next 24 hours there will be consequences.
The six are being held at the Pangani Police Station where they spent two nights after being charged with hate speech and incitement together with their Jubilee counterparts, Gatundu MP, Moses Kuria, Kabete MP, Ferdinand Waititu and Nakuru East MP, Kimani Ngunjiri.
