Just a day after Interior CS Joseph Nkaiserry, Parliament Majority leader Aden Duale and top Jubilee leadership requested National Cohesion and Integration Commission(NCIC) chairman Francis ole Kaparo to press charges on NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, the former Prime Minister has responded.

Duale and Nkaiserry had demanded action from the office of the Director of Criminal Investigation Ndegwa Muhoro over sentiments Raila uttered while in Kajiado which are alleged to contain words that could spark ethnic tension.

However, in a quick rejoinder on Monday's press statement at his Capitol Hill offices, Odinga termed Jubilee as persons trying to sensationalise his sentiments because of desperation.

"Jubilee is sensationalising the comments made in Kajiado firstly because they have messed up the land chapters of the constitution and secondly because scaremongering is the only campaign tool they are left with," said Raila.

Odinga also said the real reason why Jubilee has build a big mountain of complains on his Kajiado speech is because they have failed to actualise the TJRC report.

"We all know that Jubilee does not want to hear anything to do with the TJRC report. Yet without a full implementation of the TJRC report and strict adherence to the Constitution, we shall never, ever come close to addressing the land question," he said.

Odinga didn't shy to defend his utterances saying it was one of the pillars behind NASA coalition hence he had no choice but to address the land question."NASA will not allow the key pillars of the Constitution, namely devolution and land, to be compromised or eroded just because Jubilee does not want to face the reality of its legacy of failure and betrayal," said Odinga.

"On protection of marginalised communities, I stand by the constitution," he added.
