Raila was speaking after returning from the USA where he was attending the Democrats convention. Odinga rubbished the survey and said it was fabricated by Jubilee money.

“It is Jubilee sponsored. They want to tell Cord supporters that your candidate is not wanted by Kenyans so that I drop out of the race,” Odinga was quoted by the Nation.

The Cord leader also questioned why is it that Jubilee is obsessed with his candidature.

“Why should it be an issue on whether Raila should run or not? It is not an issue at all. I have not even declared my candidature,” Odinga said.

The controversial poll had shown that 35 percent of Kenyans wanted Raila to retire compared to 34 percent who wanted him to contest the 2017 presidential elections.
