A section of MPs allied to the ruling Jubilee Party have accused Opposition chief Raila Odinga of causing economic sabotage in the country.
The leaders included MPs Ndindi Nyoro, Peter Kimari, Mary Waithera, Joseph Nduati and senator Irungu Kang'ata.
Speaking on Saturday during a Jubilee rally, the lawmakers asserted that the former Prime Minister was solely responsible for the tough economic times due to the effects of the anti-IEBC protests.
"Raila went to the Supreme court to force a repeat of the elections that has cost the country billions and is now further aggravating the situation by asking his supporters to take to the streets," Kimari said.
The legislators argued that money budgeted for the October 26 presidential repeat polls could have been injected into other developmental projects should Raila have not contested President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection victory.
They called on the locals to turn up in large numbers on election day and reelect President Kenyatta.
