Raila Odinga touched down in Kisumu to hero's welcome and tight security.
This is the first time the veteran opposition leader is returning to his home turf of Kisumu since the Supreme Court ruling that upheld his opponents October 26 rerun victory.
He landed Friday evening and was welcomed by Kisumu governor, Anyang' Nyong'o.
His supporters could not hide their excitement as soon as they caught a glimpse of Raila with shouts of ''Baba! baba! Baba!! filling the atmosphere.
Odinga then cruised to his Bondo home.
In his entourage was Kisumu West MP Olago Aluoch and Odinga's presidential campaign manager, Bob Madanje.
Details of his visit will be revealed to the public today even though public rallies have been ruled according to Madanje.
His communication has not yet briefed the media on why he is in Kisumu.
It is widely believed Odinga is in the county to strategise on the course that NASA intends to take as his December 12 inauguration day closes in.
