Opposition chief Raila Odinga will return to Western on Wednesday to drum up for Mass Voter Registration.
He is returning to Western less than two months after touring the vote-rich region that overwhelmingly voted for him in 2013.
Western is considered an opposition zone and the ODM party leader is leaving nothing to chance as Jubilee Party tries to make inroads into opposition strongholds to try harvest votes ahead of the August polls.
It was not clear at the time of publication of this story whether he will tour the counties of Bungoma, Kakamega and Vihiga.
An ODM party insider told this writer most of his activities during the visit will be carried out in Busia County.
"The Prime Minister will visit Teso North sub county's Malaba Primary School Grounds where he will address a rally," the source said on Sunday.
"He will also be in Teso South's Adungosi Shopping Centre, Busia Town, and Nambale Shopping Centre. The visit will start at 10:00am."
The main objective of the visit is to encourage voters in Busia to register in large numbers as voters.
The Mass Voter Registration exercise conducted by the IEBC will kick off on Monday January 15 and will run for one month until February 16.
