NASA leader Raila Odinga has further dismissed claims that he went abroad to appeal to the international community to intervene in the current political situation.

He has further said he only went to give a true picture of the situation, even as the country prepares for the presidential repeat polls.

Speaking on Sunday at the Mama Ngina grounds in Mombasa, Odinga accused the Jubilee administration of using foreign embassies to spread lies about him.

The opposition leader, who had been out of the country for two days , landed in Mombasa for his first major rally since withdrawing from the presidential race.

“I went to tell on the truth, that is why they are sic (yapping). That Raila has gone to tell them (foreign bodies) that we want a coalition government, we want the whole government,” he said.

Raila further noted that they don’t want a coalition government, whose major proponent they claimed was William Ruto, after the 2007 elections.

“William Ruto was the person who ensured we had a coalition government,” he added.

NASA is not happy with the inclusion of other presidential candidates in the race for the presidential seat comes October 26.

“And now we have other candidates, who did not get even one percent of the votes (in the August 8 polls),” he added.

They took issue with the IEBC, saying they are not ready to host an election.
