Raila Odinga, has accused Jubilee government, of being behind, his failure to campaign, before he withdrew his candidature.
The NASA leader, said President Uhuru Kenyatta's government, withdrew 12 of his security detail, leaving him with almost none, with aims of ensuring he fails to attend any public event.
He said as a former prime minister, the law allows him to have security detail, just like former president Mwai Kibaki. He said the law allows him to have escort, bodyguards, security detail at his home in Bondo, Nairobi, and a driver, but Uhuru's administration, deliberately denied him.
"The law allows that enough security be given to a candidate, and someone like me, a former prime minister and Kalonzo Musyoka, a former vice president,. As a candidate, the security detail should be added" he said.
He added that he has been denied office security, unlike Kibaki.
"They withdrew all of them, 12, without a notice, or a letter to me, yet you saw Matiang'i chest-thumping saying we have withdrawn security. You know so well I am in campaigns, and yet you are withdrawing my security. Does that not mean you don't want me to campaign? Jubilee did not want us to conduct campaigns," he said, Wednesday.
