The two arguably most followed politicians reconciled in March contrary to expectations of many politicians.

At Murang'a on Thursday, Raila elaborated key issues he agreed to implement together with Uhuru.

"We had to sit down and identify where we'd gone wrong. Kenya belongs to all of us and the differences had to end with Uhuru and myself," he said.

He further said: " For many years, we have been held in the bondage of corruption,  tribalism, electoral thuggery and insecurity. These are the issues we shall fix."

While it's not clear what position Raila will play in government, he has however represented Uhuru in key functions.

Apparently, the two understands that their decision may have not been popular among some of their allies,  an issue Uhuru said doesn't matter.
