NASA leader Raila Odinga on Thursday  made his first  public appearance after taking oath as the people’s president on Tuesday at Uhuru Park.

Raila met with other principals at NASA Okoa Kenya offices  before addressing a joint  press briefing on Thursday where he castigated the Jubilee administration for infringing on the freedom of the media.

The former Prime Minister also talked on his Tuesday swearing and Kalonzo Musyoka’s absence at the fete that has continued to draw wide criticism and condemnation.

Raila blamed Jubilee for creating rifts in NASA with intentions of blocking and frustrating their electoral reforms agenda.

The ODM party leader said that the journey for electoral reforms is on course, adding that his swearing in marked the beginning of the third liberation.

“We are  on a journey to liberate our country and no one is going to stop us until we achieve what we want,” the former Prime Minister said.

Raila  claimed that Jubilee is working hard to intimidate opposition politicians and the media.

He castigated the State arrest of Ruaraka MP T.J Kajwang, saying that the MP did nothing wrong to warrant arrest.

Raila appealed to NASA supporters to remain calm and peaceful, saying that their push for  reforms will now be  taken to Jubilee' s door step.

The former Prime Minister took as the people’s president at Uhuru Park on Tuesday an event that his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped.

Kalonzo has been under criticism for snubbing the event with NASA supporters and politicians terming him a traitor.

The Wiper Party leader  has however defended his absence saying that it was unavoidable noting that he is ready to take oath.

Raila and his principals are scheduled  to attend former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa's wife Yvonne Wamalwa's burial in Tranzoia on Saturday.

The former Prime Minister will also be meeting eye to eye with president Uhuru Kenyatta for the first time after declaring himself as the people's president at Uhuru Park on Tuesday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the burial.
