Raila Odinga spoke for the very first time since his dramatic handshake with President Uhuru about the 'nuclear' option that he intended to unleash on the government in the aftermath of the disputed repeat presidential elections.
NASA toyed with the option of flooding its supporters in the streets to protest until the government surrendered, Raila told an auditorium occupied by Kenyans.
''The third option is mass action. Get people on the street until the government surrenders or calms down... The other one is mass action. Get people on the street and move on until we get there. It is possible. It can be done,'' Raila said
The veteran opposition leader spoke last week in the United Kingdom where he addressed Kenyans living in the country.
The mass action option was amongst the array of options that were being seriously toyed with.
While there were minor protests in various parts of the country, they were not escalated to the level of sustained mass action.
