The National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has expressed confidence that Nasa will oust the ruling Jubilee government in the upcoming August 8 polls.

Raila further said if he becomes the president come August 9, majority of Kenyans will celebrate his victory.

Speaking during KTN’s Friday Briefing show, he however noted in the event Jubilee’s president Uhuru Kenyatta beats him fairly, he will not regret.

“If he (Raila) is president it will be very good because I think majority of Kenyans will celebrate. If he is not, life will also continue. But if he is defeated fairly, I just want to assure you, Raila Odinga will not regret,” said Raila.

He added, ‘'I am a sportsman, and I have played many times and we’ve lost sometimes fairly and each time when we lose we shake hands with the team that beat us. It is only bitter if for example a referee gives another team a penalty that they do not deserve or allows them to score when the guy was on an offside position. You feel cheated.”

The ODM chief also noted he would congratulate Uhuru if he will be re-elected and asked him to also congratulate him if he is defeated..

“If he beats me I will congratulate him, If I beat him he should also congratulate me and we will remain friends,” noted the former prime minister.
