The decision by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka to withdraw from the repeat presidential poll scheduled for October 26 has caught many institutions off guard with legal experts now warning of a possible constitutional crisis.

According to some constitutional experts, there are many possible scenarios with one of them being the declaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as president-elect by the IEBC.

However, according to Raila, in an event that the electoral body declares Uhuru as president-elect, they have many other ways to address the issue, though he never disclosed some of their alternative methods.

"I will not stop them (IEBC from declaring Uhuru president-elect) if that is what Uhuru wants, so be it...But you cannot impose yourself to Kenyans.Kenya is a democratic country. But we have many other issues to address the issues," Raila said in an interview with Radio Jambo on Wednesday.

According to the former Prime Minister, he won the August 8 poll, defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta by over 2 million votes.
