However, while speaking on Tuesday when he met businessman Chris Kirubi at his Loresho home, the ODM leader said that he will call it a day on his political career once he accomplishes his mission to create a united Kenya.

"If every Kenyan can move around the country freely and be able to realize their potential, I will feel I would have lived a useful life in this country," said Raila.

While preaching the gospel of unity, he asked Kenyans to live with harmony, a sentiment that was backed by his host, Dr. Kirubi who promised to invest in Kisumu, the epicenter of the 2017 post-election violence that claimed several lives.

The billionaire businessman termed Kisumu, Raila's political turf, as an area with a huge economic potential . He however asked locals to embrace peace to win investor confidence.

Mr. Odinga's statement comes at a time 2022 politics is starting to take shape amid claims that he might make another stab at Presidency having come short four times before.
