National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga, has won the hearts of many Kenyans with phrases such as Vifaranga vya Kompyuta. Many Kenyans keep asking where Raila, a former prime minister gets his Vitendawili and Hadithis.

 In an interview with a local daily, Raila, who is taking a fourth stab at the Presidency, said that he drives his wisdom from the elders.

The ODM Leader said that he spends most of his time with elders who inspire him.  He also said that he uses the real life situations to generate the vitendawilis and hadithis.

“I learned this sitting with the elders…I learned to use real life situations to describe something,” he said as quoted by SDE.

 When interviewed by the phrase Vifaranga vya Kompyuta, Raila said that he used the words as a figure of speech to emphasize the fact the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) did not give the real figures.  

“We called them vifaranga vya kompyuta because they (results) are not real, he added.

 The Luo political kingpin is known for his high sense of comedy characterized by hadithis and vitendawilis. The opposition leader uses this language for effective communication. Hate him or love him, Raila commands massive support across the nation.
