ODM party leader Raila Odinga has rejected claims that opposition parties will eventually break up and field their own presidential candidates in next year's general election.
Raila said Jubilee was just wishing for a break up in the opposition, something that will never happen.
“The idea that there will be irreconcilable differences in the opposition and each party will eventually field a candidate is a dream of Jubilee. It will not happen,” said Raila as quoted by the Standard.
The former Prime Minister promised that they will not disappoint Kenyans and will deliver a presidential candidate that will be able to send theJubilee administration home.
“When the time comes for us to name the candidate, we will not disappoint,” he said during an interview with the Standard.
“We will present Kenyans with a candidate that is equal to the task of rebuilding Kenya. There is no reason for panic at this hour,” he added.
He said Cord will be part of an expanding opposition and those focusing on Cord alone are therefore missing the point.
