[Photo: Philip Etale]Opposition leader Raila Odinga has taken a swipe at the Jubilee government, after a section of the Sh1.2 billion Sigiri bridge in Budalangi constituency, Busia County, collapsed. The bridge collapsed after it was inspected by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.Accompanied by area MP Ababu Namwamba, the two Jubilee leaders were in the region June 15 to inspect the construction of the bridge.Raila attacked the Uhuru-led administration, saying none of its projects last, and that the collapsing of the bridge was a symbol of the last days of his administration. He said this is because of the many cases of corruption that have rocked Uhuru's administration."The last of a monkey, all the trees are usually slippery. The collapsing of the bridge indicates how Jubilee administration is ending. Everything they touch is a mess. Sorry Jubilee, go home well," Raila mocked the UhuRuto government.Speaking in Ugunja, Siaya county, Monday, few hours after the bridge came down, Raila warned Jubilee politicians from politicising the matter, saying it was a national issue of great concern. He further indicated Nasa would reconstruct the bridge once it sends Jubilee government home."I'm sorry and they should not try to politicise it. This is not the work of Opposition. This is the work of Jubilee. Once we take over we will bring professionals to do that job," he said.He was accompanied by Nasa co-principal Musalia Mudavadi and area senator James Orengo. It is said 25 construction workers were at the site during the collapse, Monday, and were rushed to Port Victoria and Nangina Hospitals after sustaining injuries.
