The National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has claimed that president Uhuru Kenyatta is planning to reject the August 8 election results.
Addressing the press in Nairobi, Tuesday, Raila said Uhuru will allegedly not accept the results because he knows he will be defeated.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta appears to be preparing to reject election results because he knows he will lose,” said Raila.
The Opposition leader noted that the president is marshaling all armed forces to deal with challenges he only knows.
“We have seen over the years the increasing militarization of the Kenyan state and the moving of the president around the country in military fatigues,” he added.
The former prime minister accused Uhuru and his team for spreading lies to Kenyans so as not to vote for Nasa.
“The president and his team have been around the country, felt the ground and they know they have lost this election. That fact has so disoriented Uhuru that he is unashamedly propagating lies no one believes,” said Raila.
He insisted the opposition team will win the election and dared the president not to think of rigging the upcoming polls.
“Wake up to a new Kenya. President Kenyatta, please prepare to accept defeat.”
