ODM leader Raila Odinga has reportedly sacked security guards and casual workers attached to his Opoda Farm following Sunday night raid.
Reports from the police stated that robbers managed to get through the highly guarded farm, harassed security guards before stealing sheep, goats and geese.
However, Siaya County Commissioner Joseph Narengo said workers may have colluded with the robbers to execute the plan.
"Geese cannot be handled by strangers. We will soon establish who among the workers were involved in the robbery," he said.
And an insider who understands Raila's day to day itinerary says the former Prime Minister has since sacked all guards manning his compound.
"It is hard to believe that robbers can get into that farm. He has dismissed all security employees and a section of workers," said the source.
Other than the hired security personnel, the farm is also guarded by deadly Recce Squad officers.
