Raila Odinga has firmly issued a statement trashing the involvement of Kenyan police in investigating the murder of businessman Jacob Juma.

Raila said the American investigations unit, FBI, should be tasked to make the investigations on the murder incident noting that top government officials were involved in engineering the killings.

The Cord leader went on to further mention the murder of Robert Ouko where retired president Moi invited foreign investigators, a fact that he says the Jubilee government ought to follow suit.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Raila said that preliminary reports indicate that the country's security apparatus are the main suspects in the cold blood murder. He further raised a chain of questions as to why the president and his deputy have decided to be silent on the issue.

Raila said Juma had predicted his death and noted that the government was targeting him for his move to publicly highlight on massive corruption by government officials.

A section of opposition legislators have joined hands with Raila Odinga in condemning the murder. Among them are Kalonzo Musyoke, Boni Khalwale and Moses Wetangula.
