Mr Odinga visited the South Nyanzan county on Friday, and only managed to address two rallies in one constituency, West Mugirango.

Speaking to this writer on the phone, Mr Bosire said the Friday tour was meant to prepare area residents for another three-day series of rallies in which voter registration will be the main theme.

“I understand that the one-day tour wasn’t enough but we were preparing ground because he will return again in a month’s time for a series of rallies across other constituencies in the county,” Bosire said.

“Our main aim will be sensitising people on voter registration because in Nyamira alone we have over 400,000 people who need to register. The figure is also worrying in Kisii County where an additional 600,000 eligible voters haven’t been reached according to statistics we have,” he added.

Bosire said the organising committee was putting in place regions that Mr Odinga will visit before heading for a similar function in Kisii County.

“Personally, I believe that Gusii region belongs to Cord and we have many people who can register and give us numbers to win presidency. The party leader will tour the region again next month so that he helps us reach many people to pass the message across before he goes to Kisii. We are organising the same and we will give more details in due course,” he added.
