Opposition leader Raila Odinga is set to tour vote rich Western region on Friday even before president Uhuru Kenyatta’s tem leaves the region.
The two principals have made numerous trips to the region which has an estimated 1.6M voters as 2017 elections nears.
In a statement on Thursday, ODM Communications Director Philip Etale said Raila’s trip will be a meet people tour to solidify the party’s base in Western region.
“Party Leader Raila Odinga will be touring Bungoma and Kakamega Counties on Friday to solidify the support of our ODM party,” he said.
“IT is a meet people tour where he is expected to rally locals to register as voters. We need to bring our people on board so that they know the truth about good governance,” he added.
Odinga’s trip comes slightly a week after meeting Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi amidst formation National Super Alliance.
