ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale indicated that at least 500 Members of the Disability Caucus from all over the Country have confirmed their participation in a breakfast event to be held at Orange House.

The meeting intends to give hope to Persons with Disability, that disability is not inability, even in leadership.

The Caucus Interim Chairman Nixon Kakiri said the forum which is first of its kind, had attracted participants from all the 47 Counties with a sole aim of forging a united front ahead of the 2017 general election.

"Mr Odinga has been in the forefront in agitating for equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their physical status. He will be present to assure them of his support and encourage them to go for as many elective positions as possible in the forth-coming party nominations. Members of Parliament and party officials have been invited to attend this important forum. The breakfast meeting will start at 8:00am and will be open to the media for coverage," Etale said in a statement, Monday morning.

The Cord leader's move come after the Jubilee party picked the chairman of the National Council for Persons Living With Disabilities (NCPLWD) David Ole Sankok, as one of its 2017 Presidential Campaign team, to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta, among the disabled persons.
