Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has urged opposition leader Raila Odinga to allow other Kenyans to participate in October 26 presidential election since he has withdrawn.
He said they should stop interfering with the elections, saying such a move is aimed at infringing on the peoples right to elect their leaders."I want to urge Raila to stop intimidating Kenyans by telling them not to participate in the forthcoming elections. Kenyans should ignore him and instead turn up in large numbers and vote. For how long will our country stay in electioneering period," he said in Eldoret town, Monday."His aim is to destabilize the country through demonstrations for him to get a coalition government. This time my friend you will get nothing," he added. He reiterated that the withdrawal of the opposition leader Raila Odinga in the presidential elections does not mean elections will not take place. "Elections will be conducted as scheduled by IEBC whether he will participate or not. He knows he will be defeated that's why he is trying to get to power through shortcuts," noted Sudi.
