A former ally to Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga has advised him to quit politics because he is too old and has failed consecutively in his quest to become president.
Former Westlands MP Fred Gumo on Saturday slammed Mr Odinga over his endless quest to become president saying that time had caught up with the former prime minister and it was time he exited the political stage.
"It can never be one person all the time. Even in school if you fail so many times your teacher will send you home to go and marry. Raila should know that this thing was not meant for him. He is now an elder who should consider joining me for some 'nyama choma' out there", he said.
The former cabinet minister who was one of the founding members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was speaking during a Jubilee campaign rally at Uhuru Park on Saturday where he promised to mobilize votes for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for the August 17 polls.
