Cracks in the National Super Alliance (NASA) begun to emerge after the controversial January 30 swearing-in ceremony, Uasin Gishu Amani National Congress (ANC) politician has revealed.
Moira Chepkok who unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu Woman representative seat on an ANC ticket in the August 8 general elections further says NASA family is the story of the past.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Chepkok says when Raila Odinga was named NASA flagbearer, most politicians from the western region were against uncomfortable with the idea.
"I stood firm to defend the decision since I knew Raila would deliver us somewhere," she said.
Chepkok who was the chairperson of the NASA candidates in Uasin Gishu county further notes that fights would always happen in coalitions where parties have no common agenda "but when the father stands tall on his decisions, the family will, at last, go straight."
"Raila has done a lot and he made many people whom they are today but this doesn't make him a walkover for everyone," she noted.
"Our leader is a visionary person and he has entire Kenya in his heart," added Chepkok who welcomed the recent unity talks between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She, however, wants the opposition chief to remain in NASA and challenged other co-principles to support his bid to unite the country.
"The other principals should not condemn Raila's move but instead help him unify the country and take charge in taking the position of check and balance in order for the government of the day to deliver as required," she said.
