ODM leader Raila Odinga has yet again showered praises at President Uhuru Kenyatta following his decision to to call for cease fire after a divisive presidential elections.
In March, the two leaders signed a historic MoU, whose contents are still scanty to end a protracted electioneering period that saw at least 50 people lose their lives.
And at Cambridge University on Tuesday, Raila did not hesitate to laud his new friend in town for admitting to solve the country's problems using internal mechanisms.
"That is the context in which the world must view our recent decision to close ranks with President Uhuru Kenyatta after a bitter election contest.
"As leaders, we came to acceptance that solutions to our problems will never come from outside and that it must be as a result of honest assessment of objective realities," he said.
Before their historic handshake, Raila had installed himself as people's president, escalating further the crisis that had lasted for several months.
Under the MoU, it is believed that the two leaders accepted to amend the constitution to pave way for parliamentary system of government.
