Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has asked Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga not to portray himself as clean as his name had been mentioned in multiple scandals.
Speaking during a funeral ceremony in Buuri constituency, Meru County, Kiunjuri said the former Prime Minister has been mentioned in various scandals while in and out of government.
"If we talk about his (Raila's) history and sins, it would be as voluminous as the Bible. We know about him in bad light and can fill twenty pages of advertisements in newspapers," said Kiunjuri.
He cited the Kenya Airways saga, maize scandal, Kazi kwa Vijana Project and the case of the Kisumu molasses plant as some of the scandals the Cord co-principal has been mentioned in.
“What we are telling Raila is that we have enough information about him and we can talk about him for a whole year," he said Monday.
This comes after Raila earlier accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of shielding government officials implicated in corrupt dealings.
He said the President should resign for overseeing mega corruption scandals that were now threatening to plunge the country into a crisis.
Early this month, Kiunjuri was accused of corruption but three NGO bosses disowned an affidavit sent to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) claiming that he had demanded a Sh20 million bribe from them.
